The building for Hanfia Masjid was purchased in November 2002 and numerous development projects have been undertaken including the replacement of the roof, internal decorations, construction of a mehrab and a custom designed carpet for the main prayer hall. Numerous conferences are arranged to mark major events in the Islamic calendar with guest speakers from around the world. This is achieved through the provision of numerous classes, study circles, seminars and conferences for all members of the local community. The main aim of the masjid is to provide authentic teachings of traditional Islam based on the Qur’an and Sunnah. Hanfia Masjid is a not for profit organisation set up by dedicated, professional Muslims, under the leadership of Mufti Ghulam Sarwar Naqshbandi Qadri.
